What fifty-year-old lines do
Homes from the late 1960s and 1970s may have clay sewer laterals, cast iron under the slab or early plastic pipe, depending on the builder and any repairs since. Clay joints let roots in. Cast iron rusts and roughens inside, which catches grease and paper. Plastic stays smoother but still collects grease and scale. The camera tells us which one you have before we pick a method.
